Waiting for full service that will never come.

This was a great random roadside discovery that I had while exploring parts of southern Texas.

I ended up meeting the owner of the property and found that this was not a public filling station at all, but was actually part of the airport that used to exist on the property in the 1930-40’s. .

This was my first of several visits to this location, as it was close to the main highway that  I travelled on a lot. On this visit, I had an overcast and moon-lit night. I have another shot to be posted that shows this location from another angle and on a better sky-centric night.

The diffused lighting really brought out the rust and muted color tones which I liked and I hope you enjoy it too.
